Questions Remain After Final Report On Hotshot Deaths

On June 30, 2013 19 members of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite wildfire fighting team, were killed in the Yarnell Hill Fire. Months later an investigative report on their deaths was released. Here and Now spoke with Kyle Dickman, a former hotshot and an associate editor of Outside magazine who is writing a book about the Yarnell Fire and Darrell Willis, wildland division chief and a co-founder of the Granite Mountain Hotshots about just what happened to the hotshots and what their deaths mean for the future of firefighting.
